Sherbrooke SUNS welcomes Ariel to our Senior Women’s team for 2022 season.  Coach Chad Burton said:  “Ariel will be a great asset to the team for the coming Big V season, she shoots the ball at a high percentage and most importantly for me she is a great defender and gets after the ball.  Ariel will fit right in with the team and she is a great club person, she has most recently played in Europe and I know she can mentor our younger players in the team and our club to help them improve.  I look forward to her arriving and getting started with the team.”

Ariel is a passionate guard who loves to win. She is big on having lots of energy, hoping to encourage and energize her teammates. Enjoys scoring the ball, she loves setting her teammates up to score the ball. Her style of play is versatile. Can shoot the three, the pull up, and even attack the basket. Is big on ‘easy buckets’ which is by being aggressive in defense, or grabbing rebounds and pushing the ball for easy baskets in transition. She believe you are less likely to make mistakes if you just stay aggressive. Enjoys snatching rebounds and initiating early, fast transition. Although Ariel is a tough player all around, she believes the only way to achieve is together.

The Sherbrooke SUNS family are extremely excited to welcome their new explosive and rim protector big man Ehab Eltayeb to their senior men’s program!

Ehab has a long list of playing history and should transition well when he arrives down under being born in North Sudan. Although Ehab is a Sudanese native, he attended high school in the UAE where he quickly became a standout player at Westminister High School in Dubai. He then began to really showcase his talent while attending Robert Morris University in Chicago and he helped lead his team to a conference Championship while also successfully making it to the sweet 16 in the NCAA National Tournament.

Ehab has just finished up a short stint in Mexico averaging 30 plus points and 15 rebounds. He was heavily recruited by our SUNS club while playing in the newly launched and highly anticipated PBA league becoming a league All Star for the DFW Powerhouse team averaging 18 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks while shooting a league high 63% from the field.

Please give Ehab a huge warm welcome to our SUNS family and we are looking forward to have him continue his professional career while showcasing his talent in a Suns uniform.
